Wine Critic: “Not bad, not great. Didn’t find it particularly full-bodied, but very fruity with a little oak. plum blackcurrant cherry blackberry pepper” - A.N. (Jan. 3, 2021)

Wine Folly: According to"Wine Folly: Magnum Edition: The Master Guide" by Madeline Puckette and Justin Hammack, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are very rich. It has a high tannin level with a strong body. It is noted that this type of grape pairs well with “rich grilled meats, peppery sauces, and dishes with high flavor” (pg. 221). It is also noted that black cherry and cedar are dominant aromas and contributes to the rich flavor profile of Cabernet Sauvignon.

My Thoughts: Today I am drinking a red wine from Australia. Australia is the third largest producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, behind France and the United States. It sports a contemporary bottle design, indicating that it is likely made with new-world wine ideals. First impressions: It is just okay. It is slightly sweet. I did not think the wine was very rich. At best, it is medium bodied. I can taste the acid but it is a little over the top. I smell plum and cedar. For the price, it isn’t bad at all. I probably wouldn’t buy this again though

I give it a 70/100.
